What YAPA is

YAPA is a voluntary contact exchange: members agree to have their name and WhatsApp number included in contact files (.vcf) that the members they swap with download and may import. Downloading or importing a file does not guarantee anyone saves you or sees your WhatsApp Status.

Lawful basis: your consent

We only share your number after you tick the consent box when you join or add your number. We record the time you gave consent, and it is checked every time a contact file is made: no consent, no sharing.

We do not send SMS codes, so a number is taken as the member typed it and is not verified. If someone joined with your number, use the public removal form and it will stop being shared straight away.

What we collect and share

Shared with other members: your display name and WhatsApp number, only inside the contact files of signed-in members you swap with.

Never shared: your email, coins, referrals, activity, IP address, or device information. These are used only to run the service, prevent fraud, and secure your account.

Your rights (NDPR)

• Withdraw consent / removal: Account → "Stop sharing my number". Nobody new gets your number from then on. Honest limitation: contact files already downloaded by other members are on their phones, and we cannot recall them.
• Deletion: contact support from your Account page and we will erase your account and data from our systems.
• Access & correction: your profile shows your data; contact support for a full export.

Storage & security

Contact files are stored privately with download links that expire within 24 hours. We retain at most your latest five collection files. An hourly cleanup also removes files dated earlier than 2 days before the current day. Exchange records remain so we do not repeat contacts and can show collection and self-reported import status. Payments are processed by Paystack, and we never see your card details.
